She has written numerous essays on photography and edited several books such as Continental Drift -Europe Approaching the Millennium 1998, The Unusual Suspects (7 Yorkshire Artists) 2000, and the imPRESS series of fully illustrated pocket sized photography books. Her sssays include Seven Years Trish Morrissey 2004; Moor and Dale Tessa Bunney 2004; One Landscape Many Views 2003; Time Memory and Myth 2002; WarningShots: art exploring themes of conflict 2000; Labyrinth Helen Sear 1998, The Visit Gerard Uféras 1994.
In her previous life she worked in community education in East London and has been known to have taken a photo or two.
